Once a year it's fun to play and celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday! For almost 100 years, he's brought the joy of storytelling with over 60 books throughout his career. From "The Cat in the Hat" to "I Am Not Going to Get Up Today!", with cartoons and movies his lessons are here to stay. So, read or watch but whatever you do, make sure it's with the little one who loves you!
😃😄March 3rd: National 'I Want You to Be Happy' Day😊😉
If we as people to use more of any one thing, it would be happiness. But it also means different things to different people. So how do you help to make yourself or someone else happy? Take today to explore little gestures to make another person happier. Give someone a hug who needs it, remind friends and family how much you love and value them, treat a co-worker to lunch. It's sure to make you both feel better.

Let's face it: the world is a little topsy-turvy and being able to watch things unfold in real time from our smart devices has us constantly scrolling, searching, commenting, and sharing. National Day of Unplugging is a 24 hour respite from technology. Use the time to reconnect with loved ones, take a trip to the beach, read, meditate, or spend time outdoors.

Say, have you been to the dentist lately? Don't forget about those hardworking doctors who protect our teeth. Show your appreciation by scheduling a check up, teaching your kids a song to sing while brushing their teeth or simply flash someone a smile and thank your local dentist.

Today honors the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women on a global scale. Each year, a theme is chosen by the United Nations and for 2022 is: Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow. This will highlight women and girls who participate in their communities promoting on climate change adaptation, mitigation, and response, in order to build a more sustainable future for all.

Did you know Barbie ran for president in 1992? Seriously! Celebrate all things Barbie on this nostalgic holiday. Debuting in 1959 with Ken introduced just two years later, Barbie has been setting trends and breaking barriers in children's play for decades. Maybe take the day to run down the doll aisle of your local toy store with your little girl.
👧👩March 10th: National Women's and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day👩🦳👵
When we reduce HIV stigma and promote education, testing, prevention, and treatment. From 2014 to 2018 HIV diagnoses declined 54% among children overall according to the CDC. But it still effects millions of women and girls. Take today to look into supporting a local charity, volunteering at a clinic or getting tested and knowing your status.

We gobble up those Thin Mints and Tagalongs with glee from those incredible girls in the badge-covered vests. This day commemorates the first Girl Scout meeting held by Juliette "Daisy" Gordon Low in 1912. Ask your little girls if they would be interested in becoming members or share your experiences with the organization...maybe while enjoying a cookie or two.
☀️⏰March 13th: Daylight Savings☀️⏰
We've been doing it for all of our lives. We "spring forward" an hour every year in March, but why? Basically, it allows us to make better use of the natural daylight. But some places in the U.S., like Arizona, Hawaii and other island territories, don't change their times at all! There's even talks of doing away with it altogether. Until then, be prepared for the to shift at 2 a.m.

Break out the baked goods, calculators, and math puns; it's Pi Day! Today we celebrate the mathematical constant that is π. There are a total of 31.4 billion digits in Pi and would take a single person 332,064 years to recite aloud. Let's stick with 3.14, eat some pie, and call it a day instead!

No pinches, please! Although a very real person, the holiday has grown beyond just commemorating Saint Patrick. Today we celebrate Irish culture, history, and traditions in the U.S. with parades, festivals and turning rivers green. On the third Tuesday in March, we take the time to sit down for a cup of tea with friends and family to enjoy a spot of tea. We here at Mia Belle ADORE tea parties and love hosting them regularly for our models to dress up, feel fancy, and learn a little about the art of tea ceremonies. Make a cup with your little girl and talk about your favorite flavors.

Do you ever hear a brand new holiday and think, "did someone just make this up?" Turns out, YOU CAN! Here's a day for you to take control and create a tradition just for yourself. Like Eat Only Pink Food Day or Twilight Saga Day. Even a day just to celebrate all things YOU! Let your imagination go wild!

Stretch your legs, invest in your health, and enjoy the outdoors with a lovely walk in the park. Visit your favorite local trail or find a park you don't normally walk and spend the day with your kids and loved ones soaking up the sun. Maybe even have a picnic or pick up trash to help keep the space clean. Either way, it's a great opportunity to destress from the day-to-day things that keep us so busy.

Take a trip through your childhood and bond with your little one over one of America's most beloved toys of all time: crayons. Those little wax molds have helped shaped minds, build imaginations and support creative play for generations with no end in sight. Grab a 64 pack and your munchkin to spend the day making fun art pieces and doodles then hang up your work like a gallery.
