Find out why the Mia Belle Baby Slumber Tote is the best gift you can give to a newborn baby!
- Babies can’t kick off the SlumberTote like they can a regular blanket, so they stay warm and comfortable all night.
- Babies need to learn to soothe themselves to sleep in order to get the best sleep possible, and our patent pending soother feature helps the baby do just that by shifting from parental soothing to baby self-soothing.
-
Putting a baby to sleep in a wearable blanket may lessen the risk of SIDS. Although the true cause of SIDS is unknown, it is widely believed that SIDS is caused by infants turning over and sleeping on their stomachs or preventing proper airflow by accidentally pulling the blanket over their faces. Another cause may be overheating. The use of a wearable blanket may prevent these hazards.
- The Mia Belle Baby SlumberTote is lined with 100% Cotton.
- Traveling Made Easy! Babies get used to sleeping in a SlumberTote and no matter where they travel; their sleep routine is kept familiar.
- Babies thrive on routine! Using the SlumberTote every night/day for sleeping establishes an instinctual routine/ritual - children fuss less at bedtime – they develop a comfort habit and get an immediate soothing signal to go to sleep when they are placed inside the SlumberTote.
- Most nurseries are kept at the recommended 67-73 degrees with either air conditioning or heat no matter what the climate or season, enabling the use of the same SlumberTote all year round.
- Crib injuries are preventable! It is much harder to fall out of a crib or get stuck between the bars since the baby’s movement inside the crib is limited when wearing a SlumberTote.
- The design of the SlumberTote is not only luxurious but also functional:
- It’s quick and easy to insert and remove the baby from the SlumberTote
- The large arm openings allow for plenty of air circulation to prevent the baby from over-heating
- Babies like to soothe themselves to sleep, so we designed a unique system that doubles as a zipper safety device and a bedtime soother
What should the baby wear under the SlumberTote?
The SlumberTote is a substitute for a blanket so we recommend putting your child to bed in whatever is appropriate for the season- a onesie or lightweight pajamas for warm weather, and warm sleepers for cooler temperatures. A quick way to check if your child is comfortable is to place your hand underneath their clothing on their stomach or back. The goal is to not overheat the baby.
When is the best time to introduce the SlumberTote to the baby?
It’s great to start creating the routine early. If the baby is premature, wait until the baby reaches the recommended 10 pound minimum weight for the smallest size. If your baby was born on time, six to twelve weeks after birth can be a good time or once they reach the 10 pound recommended minimum weight. Just make sure that the baby’s head is bigger than the neck opening to maximize safety. It is very important to buy according to size. Safety is the very essence of this product!
